Book 5 – Update –
When I wrote Living LIes one of the things that I enjoyed about this job was that I had a small amount of control in my life. I had dove into motherhood from a background in banking. At the bank I had tellers, customers and a very scheduled set of rules I had to follow but with a dual set of babies – I was not exactly trained … I had changed maybe two diapers in my lifetime. So when I wrote I felt a sort of satisfaction – I had this insane idea that I was in charge of Melanie and Danny and Adam. HA! As it turns out, they are no better than kids that should be cleaning their room but are playing instead.
I’m only writing this now because yesterday Adam gave me trouble. I’ve got my plot, my storyline and this guy is hassling me. Making me pull up on the reins and rethink the outcome. This isn’t the first time these characters have put the brakes on what I’m trying to do to them but Adam usually isn’t obstinate. He’s got other plans and who can argue with a handsome man? Not me. We were at Disneyland in January and met Thor – seriously, Thor. He was handsome, tall and truly the ruler of Asgard – I found myself tongue tied, I’m still laughing about that one. I did much better communicating with Genie, who was also tall but bright blue.
Well, Adam circumventing his obligations was an interesting surprise. Overall book 5 is plugging along at a decent pace. I’m having a good time with them and I’m looking forward to finding out which way this turns. I’ll keep you updated.
I better be off …
Be safe.
Love All,
Kate
