I know Halloween was weeks ago and the focus should be on Thanksgiving but I’m keeping the candy thing going.
After Halloween I went to Target, bought a bunch of bags mixed candies on the cheap, and since then I’ve been sneaking into my kids stash and adding to it. Everyday, other day … whatever … a handful or two and so far … weeks later they still haven’t said much about it. They’ve cleared out the Reese’s, given them to their dad a few times but somehow ‘ones they missed’ keep appearing. I’ve even added pieces that weren’t in the original hoard. Seriously, obvious candy that they didn’t have in the beginning! I thought for sure, by now, they’d have asked or said something about the ever-flowing plastic pumpkin filled with treats – but no. Crazy.
Maybe they’re afraid if they say something it’ll stop the magic. At this rate I’ll run out of candy before they notice. They’ve had to have noticed, right? This trick has backfired because now I worry about both their sugar and attention levels.
If on Friday I put left-over turkey in their bags … will that get a response?
Don’t forget to check out the new website – <http://www.katemathis.net> And … look for Chase over the weekend! Holy Moly did I just say that? Well, that’s the word on the street and I’m keeping my fingers crossed. As a bonus Saturday is Billy Idol’s 58th birthday! So…
Happy Birthday Billy Idol and Hello Chase!
Whatever you celebrate I hope that you’re safe and warm and with those you love. Happy Thanksgiving. Happy Black Friday. Happy Cyber Monday.
Love All,
Kate
